After 10 months of working mornings and evenings, I AM FINALLY FINISHED!!! Hello summer!

My parents will be here in one month!

I reopened Studio Martin tonight to take some pics of our wedding rings, my shoes and my cufflinks.

This evening we went and took photos with our photographer. It was quite weird at first but we got used to it and had some fun. I'm not used to being on the other side of the lens. I think we are gonna have a few really nice ones. When he sends us some of the pics, I will share them. I guess these could be considered our engagement photos. In Spain they are called pre-boda, before the wedding.

Had my first trip to the emergency room today. Stepped on something at the beach yesterday and had it stuck in my heel. We came back to Murcia today and went and had it removed. Turns out it was from a sea urchin. Tiny, but it did its damage.

Our stove top hasn't been working and we had a technician come and he told us that it was done. So we had to buy a new one. A nice unexpected expense to have.

We bought, well ordered, our wedding rings today. They should be ready before the end of the month.  We also met with the event organizer and chef from the restaurant for the wedding to iron out a few more details. We get to try the menu next Friday!!

Prayers for my friends from Águilas, Angel and Maria, with the twins.  Maria went to the doctor a couple weeks ago and was diagnosed with breast cancer. She is going to have surgery tomorrow here in Murcia.

And we finally mailed the wedding invitations today. They should make it stateside in about 10 days.

I cannot believe that Spain is not broadcasting the World Cup games on regular tv. This is incredible!! Time to stream yet another World Cup match.

Murcia has been graced by the presence of celebrities recently. On Tuesday, the New king was at the church right in front of our apartment for the funeral of a friend and Liam Neeson is here at the beach filming Taken 3. Not to mention that Game of Thrones will be filming parts of season 5 in Seville. It's not in Murcia, but needs to be mentioned anyway.

Received news of the passing of a fellow TTU classmate this morning. He had an illness, not sure what exactly, and the last couple of years had been tough. He was also a fellow Georgia Bulldogs fan. Keep his family and friends in your thoughts and prayers.

Invitations have been selected and ordered. It's been a busy, and expensive weekend but a lot of progress has been made and things are now taking shape.

Our first wedding gift came from Nuria's grandfather!

Something really strange happened in our apartment last weekend. Saturday morning when I went into the other bedroom to iron, I found a dead shrimp on the floor. Somehow, the shrimp got out if the tank on Friday when I was cleaning it abd ended up in a room that I didn't even go into. Very strange situation and I'm gonna miss the little guy. The other shrimp is going to have to hold down the tank by its self for now until I buy another one.

It's a very cool 95 degrees today for Mother's Day!! Happy Mother's Day to all the mothers!!

The doctors got the coin out and Nuria's grandfather is back at home.

Prayers for Nuria's grandfather. He accidentally swallowed a coin a littke bit bigger than a quarter and it's stuck in his esophagus. He can breathe but it's labored. He's going to spend the night in the hospital as they wait for the coin to move out of his esophagus.

Asking for prayers for a friend of ours that has a tumor. She had been having headaches and sinus problems for some time and finally went to the doctor. They discovered that she had a tumor right above her nose. Last week they removed a piece of it to see if it was bad or not so bad. The results showed that it was not so bad and they are going to remove the rest next week.

Also asking for prayers for a family member of Nuria. She was also having pains and went to the doctor to find out it was a tumor. The next test should show if it's bad or not so bad.

 So, the proposal. Every summer when we're at the beach we always get up once to take pictures of the sunrise.

I told Nuria I wanted to go to the beach one weekend and while we're there, sunrise pictures. She agreed, very important detail, and we went.

I had my camera set up on the tripod with my remote to get some pics of us before the sunrise. Unfortunately, the.massive John deere tractor arrived at the same time to clean the beach. So we spent the first five minutes running back and forth avoiding the tractor. He finally finished at our beach and went to the next one.  I pulled the, "hey, what's that?" and she turned around and I got down on my knee. She said yes and that was it.

I chose the beach because she loves the beach and especially that beach beacuse it's hers. She grew up going to that beach and has a house there. When her mother passed away a few yrs ago they spread her ashes there so it's very important to her.

Before the break, one of my students came and gave ne a hug and said, " happy birthday Brandon because I won't see you on your birthday."  Her and her twin sister's birthday is tomorrow so happy early birthday to Julia and Inés!!
