Today was my last day at the school. I'm starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel.  1 more month!!

Yesterday we went to see Nuria's cousin playy futbol (soccer) against a team from Murcia. It was a tie, but they win because they beat them last week. Alex is the goalkeeper wearing all grey.

No school for us today and tomorrow because it's a local holiday here. So while Nuria went to the library to study, I headed to the courts. Change of court and net though because I went to shoot around. It felt so good to put on my bball shoes again that I'm gonna go shoot tomorrow as well.

Puppyhood

I had my last tennis class today and it's a shame because I am finally showing some progress. There are three more weeks of class but my schedule at the school changes for June and I have to work every morning there because we don't have anymore classes in the evening, which is a great thing. I'm gonna try and have class on Saturdays with the main teacher and play occasionally with my friend as well. In July there will be tennis classes in the evening so hopefully I will be able to play then also.

Happy Mother's Day

One of my students wrote this for his mom last week for mother's day so I thought I would share it today.  Happy Mother's day to all the moms and mom figures out there!!

My allergies have been kicking my butt for the past two weeks. The medicine I have been taking is one of the strongest ones here and it has done absolutely nothing for me. I hope my new medicine will have a different outcome.

It's a nice, warm Saturday today. 85 in our apartment and 91 outside!

1:15 in the morning and in watching tennis videos on YouTube and a tennis match on TV. I hope this eventually shows on the court because this week wasn't so great. I'm only up right now  because tomorrow is Labor Day here and we don't work.

I took Nuria with me today to buy some new shrimp and of course she chose the most expensive ones in the store. I hope they don't end up as a snack for my big fish because Nuria will kill me since she liked the shrimp so much that she bought them.

I heard about a classmate, a year younger, from Webb passing away last Saturday.

After almost four years of absolutely nothing athletic, I will be making my return to the tennis courts. I signed up for lessons today and I start in three weeks. I'm looking forward to the challenge but the first two or three weeks will be rough because I am far from being in shape.

I noticed yesterday that my tallest student at the school is finally taller than me. He just happens to have a twin sister that will probably be taller than me here in the next few weeks. So yes, I'm going to have 9 and 10 year old students that are taller than me.

Just heard the news of the passing of a former co-worker from my time in Cookeville. Her boyfriend called the police this morning to inform them that he had shot and killed his girlfriend.

Pretty shocking news to receive. Domestic violence is no joke.

My old school here had some of the best scores in the region of Murcia on a English exam. I'd like to think that I had something to do with that.

Happy Veteran's Day!!!

This weekend there was a bad bus wreck about 45 mins from here and 14 people died and about 30 are in the hospital. Prayers for the families and friends that lost someone and those still fighting for their lives in the hospital.

Nuria made French toast!! Purty good

Nuria saw her surgeon and her doctor today and everything is good. They took off her bandages and now she can put pressure on her right leg. She still has to use the crutches but she can atleast walk better now.

My first few days as a nurse have gone well. Nuria hasn't fired me yet, so that's always a good thing. Nuria is doing well. Resting up until her doctors appointment on Thursday. Back to work for me in the a.m.
