Summer is going out with a bang. 87 degrees inside our apartment and 94 outside.

This evening is going to be my first time back on a tennis court in 5 weeks. I hope my ankle holds up!

Week 4 was more of the same, only difference was there were no visits to San Javier for concerts or plays. Last night we went and saw Nuria's cousin play again but this time they lost. Right after the game he took a private taxi to Madrid because he was selected to play on Spain's under 21 team and they have a game on Wednesday in Estonia.

Week three was another good week. Two visits from the physical therapist and two visits to San Javier for a play and concert.  Only two more weeks left before work.

Week two at the beach went well until then end. One of Nuria's cousins from Argentina came so we spent the week with them going to different places and doing things. Had a good week of tennis as well. Nuria has greatly improved in two weeks and even beat the other person in our class who has been playing as long as I have. But, in the last 15 mins of our class on Friday, I sprained my ankle. No more tennis for me until my class starts in a month. Oh well, I get to relax for my last two weeks of vacay!

Picked up my new passport today. Looking forward to where it allows me to explore next!! Only bad thing is I have a new number now that I should learn. It is going to be difficult to try and forget my old one.

First week at the beach has been a success.  Three tennis classes, saw a play and spent all morning today trimming the trees and cleaning. I like it here because it's the only time a get to do "yard work."

Today is the first day of my five week break. We spent the weekend at the beach and saw some jazz on Friday and opera on Saturday.  It's good to have a friend who isn't charge of these events and invites you to see them!

Had a good time at the beach this weekend.  Found a new beach to go to, the weather was great and we did a lot of walking. About 12 miles in the three days we were there. I've been back on Murcia for five hours and I've already taken two showers. It's hot here.

Had a good run with this guy but his time, 10 years, has run out. We traveled to 8 different countries, 3 continents and 13 journeys across the Atlantic. Now I just have to wait for his successor to arrive in a couple months.

Today was my last day at the school. I'm starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel.  1 more month!!

Yesterday we went to see Nuria's cousin playy futbol (soccer) against a team from Murcia. It was a tie, but they win because they beat them last week. Alex is the goalkeeper wearing all grey.

No school for us today and tomorrow because it's a local holiday here. So while Nuria went to the library to study, I headed to the courts. Change of court and net though because I went to shoot around. It felt so good to put on my bball shoes again that I'm gonna go shoot tomorrow as well.

Puppyhood

I had my last tennis class today and it's a shame because I am finally showing some progress. There are three more weeks of class but my schedule at the school changes for June and I have to work every morning there because we don't have anymore classes in the evening, which is a great thing. I'm gonna try and have class on Saturdays with the main teacher and play occasionally with my friend as well. In July there will be tennis classes in the evening so hopefully I will be able to play then also.

Happy Mother's Day

One of my students wrote this for his mom last week for mother's day so I thought I would share it today.  Happy Mother's day to all the moms and mom figures out there!!

My allergies have been kicking my butt for the past two weeks. The medicine I have been taking is one of the strongest ones here and it has done absolutely nothing for me. I hope my new medicine will have a different outcome.

It's a nice, warm Saturday today. 85 in our apartment and 91 outside!

1:15 in the morning and in watching tennis videos on YouTube and a tennis match on TV. I hope this eventually shows on the court because this week wasn't so great. I'm only up right now  because tomorrow is Labor Day here and we don't work.

Had to share my birthday with Lara. Every time she would say or sing happy birthday,  she would say happy birthday Brandon and Lara. And she blew out my candles.

I took Nuria with me today to buy some new shrimp and of course she chose the most expensive ones in the store. I hope they don't end up as a snack for my big fish because Nuria will kill me since she liked the shrimp so much that she bought them.
