I feel special. Finally something with my name on it!

Today was the last day of my MBA classes since next week we will be on our way to Tennessee and I'm going to miss the last 3 weeks of class. The MBA was a good experience but I'm glad it's over. I'm looking forward to doing my thesis over the next few months and officially finishing the program and achieving a goal of mine, which was to do a master in Spanish.

My university,  class and work, is centered around a 19th century monastery and today I wandered into the church for the first time today. Pretty impressive and unique !

Nuria shared this with me, so I figured I would share it as well.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! I´ve been m.i.a. since October because I started a new job and an MBA. This absence will continue as I go on with my MBA and start working on my final project this month.

I had to take the time and write about spending my holidays in the company of my parents who made their second trip to Spain. We enjoyed our time together, eating, Barcelona, eating, Murcia, eating, family time and eating. I had an amazing time with my parents and there was no other way I wanted to spend my Christmas and New Years.

As I have obtained the love of taking pictures from my mother, I´ll now share some of my pics from our Nochebuena (Christmas Eve) dinner with the Spanish family and our trip to Barcelona.

10 at night and it's 99 degrees outside and 90 inside.  Not a good welcome home from the nice, cool beach. I miss Menorca already!

Hermanito

Lara still asks Nuria about her hermanito (little brother). "When is he coming?" "Is he better? I want to play with him."

She likes to make up songs and all she does is sing your name over and over again. On Monday we were having dinner together and she sang her song, "hermanito, hermanito,  hermanito!!"

Even though they never met face to face, Lara definitely loved/loves her "little brother."

Today it's a cool 99 degrees in the shade and 106 in the sun at almost 6:30 in the evening.

The never-ending week looks like it is actually finally coming to an end. I'm pretty sure this has been without a doubt, the longest week of my life and tomorrow back to this thing called a job. Good thing I only have three more days!

So today Nuria and I were supposed to go to a spa with friends but instead we buried our baby boy. Quite a change of plans. It was short and sweet and now he is resting in the same place as some of his family from Argentina. We originally planned for him to be buried with Nuria's mother, brother and grandparents but since they just opened the tomb in December for Nuria's grandfather, it can't be opened for another five years. 

We know he's up in heaven enjoying all the friends and family who are there as well and one day we will all be together again.

R.I.P. Samuel Martin Martín

A funny story from all this is that Lara, my niece, referred  to Samuel as her little brother and not her cousin. So she was always telling people that she was going to have a little brother and my sister in law just had to keep telling everyone that she was talking about her cousin, not her brother.

Free at last! Free at last!  Thank God almighty, she's free at last! 

After 26 long and difficult days, Nuria is finally at home. Hopefully,  little by little she will recover and get back to being a normal, healthy person.

If I never have to return to the hospital that would be perfectly ok with me but I am forever grateful for all the wonderful doctors, nurses and staff that helped us in whatever way they could.

My drivers license came in the mail today so I am now officially official!

Finally received my temporary drivers license today. Kinda funny that almost exactly 15 years to the date after I got my permit,  I get my "second" license.

Due to my busy schedule I had to have my classes at 7:00 in the morning.  Waking up at 6:30 was no fun at all but at least I only had 7 classes at this time.

The experience of learning how to drive a stick was fun but I did have a couple bad days, both were Mondays if I remember correctly. Now it's time to continue driving with our European Ford Focus and hopefully I will get to drive my Focus again soon!
