So the past two weeks have been insanely busy and I haven't been able to update the blog. Now that I am flying over the Atlantic, and watching Madagascar 2, I have a little bit of time. I was thinking that my last two weeks would be rather relaxing and probably boring. I was way off. Outside of the two weeks in May when I was traveling all over, this was the busiest time that I had since I came to Spain. June 1st was the beginning of the of the dinners and goodbyes. We had a dinner in the main city with all of our friends and was the last time that we were all together. After that, the dinners and goodbyes still didn't stop until right before I left for Madrid.
I went to one of the nice beaches on Thursday with some of my teachers and it turned out that my last day on the beach was probably the most fun I had on this trip. We got there around 2 o'clock and didn't leave until 10 that night. We spent the entire day just playing just about every beach activity we could think of and just acting like kids. Keep in mind that I, at 24, am the youngest., everyone else is between 28 and 38. They also buried me in the sand and made it look like I was a mermaid, i'll put up pics. They only bad thing about the day is that the beach is out in the middle of nowhere and there is only one restaurant and we ate there and it was really expensive. By the way, Madagascar 2 is pretty good.
This trip was truly an experience that I will never forget and wouldn't trade for anything in the world. I really did meet some incredible people that I am sure we will keep in contact in the future. I also seeing myself going back to visit as soon as I came. All the kids were so heartbroken when they found out that I wouldn't be back next year. I also plan on staying in contact with as many of the kids that I can. Right now I am looking forward to landing in Philly and going to Chick-fil-a. I've been waiting 8 ½ months for my number 1 plain with Dr. Pepper.
